MENTAL HEALTH AND THE BENEFITS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

•By introducing entrepreneurship at a young age, we can instill an entrepreneurial culture in children and equip them with tools and knowledge that will help them in life. This way, we empower them and build their self-esteem as well as self-confidence to dare to fulfill their dreams.
•Entrepreneurship provides kids with something to do (keep busy) to keep their mind off of the struggles during these un-certain times.
•Encouraging innovation and developing new ventures depends on us. Specifically, it depends on how we encourage our children to be entrepreneurs and acquire entrepreneurial skill sets.
•Educating children about entrepreneurship from a young age is beneficial and appropriate when the perception is that most of the qualities of the entrepreneur can be obtained. Given that perspective, the environment has an important role and a powerful influence on the individual.
•On a personal level, educating kids about entrepreneurship also considerably empowers kids individually. They improve their chances of success in life and increase their confidence that they are capable of succeeding in any field they desire, regardless of academic achievements.
•This program is infinitely valuable for young students.
•They take an active part in planning and implementing a project that stems from their ideas.
•It's a challenging experience for the kids and sometimes for the teachers too. Students learn how to set and achieve goals. They learn to be persuasive, to do a survey, ask questions and analyze data. They develop self-confidence and belief in their abilities. They become attentive and tolerant of others' needs who may be different. They learn to deliver an engaging, compelling speech as well.
•Furthermore, the program helps students learn how to perform financial calculations, be wise consumers, identify opportunities, solve problems, be creative, and work as part of a team.
•Lastly, this program will help students develop interpersonal skills, independent and positive thinking, and much more.

PODCAST PROGRAM

I also have a Podcast Program. Our school program offers a comprehensive workshop designed to teach youths how to create their own audio/visual podcast from scratch. By participating in this program, students will gain a solid understanding of podcasting basics, learn how to set up podcast equipment, record and edit audio, and even delve into video recording and editing. To enrich the learning experience, we bring in guest mentors and experts who are experienced podcasters, videographers, or media professionals. These mentors will share their expertise, provide guidance, answer questions, and inspire students with their own experiences. As an additional treat, we have a special workshop in the works at BronxNet on 149th Street, where students can embark on a trip to witness a state-of-the-art studio tour, immersing themselves in a professional podcasting environment. With close to 10 years of experience and a deep understanding of mentoring, we firmly believe in empowering youth through communication and creativity. Our program opens doors for students, helping them grow in society, build necessary confidence, and develop skills that will serve them well in their future endeavors.

There are some excellent reasons for fostering entrepreneurial thinking in K-12 students and teaching them entrepreneurship lessons such as:

1. Educating students on entrepreneurship does not mean everyone should be entrepreneurs. In practice, most adults are employees, but the qualifications that are learned through the entrepreneurial learning process are critical skills for the success of everyone, either as an employee or as an entrepreneur. Moreover, nowadays, employers are looking to hire workers with entrepreneurial skills. In the future, machines will replace workers who won't have entrepreneurial skills.
2. Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in improving the country's economy, increasing employment, and reducing unemployment. Hence, investment in entrepreneurship education from an early age is worthwhile because it has a real payoff at the national level.
3. Increasing the chances of success of future entrepreneurs.
4. Developing entrepreneurial skills in schools equally among boys and girls will reduce the gap between men and female entrepreneurs.
5. Make the benefits of entrepreneurship accessible among disadvantaged populations such as those of low socioeconomic status to help get them ready for future jobs.
6. Entrepreneurial qualifications are skills that everyone must learn to deal with the various challenges of the 21st century. After all, entrepreneurial skills are life skills.
7. Raising the rates of those who dare to be entrepreneurs and who are not afraid of failure.
